Japan will reshuffle some of its national holidays in 2020 to accommodate the Tokyo Summer Olympics. Marine Day will be moved a week later to July 23, the day before the Olympics opening ceremony; Sports Day has been shifted from October to July 24, the day of the opening ceremony; and Mountain Day will be a day early on August 10, the day after the closing ceremony.
